Kristin Davis has said that she would be on board for yet another Sex and The City installation if Michael Patrick King would ever create a sequel.
She looks so unashamedly happy and summery in the dress above that she just had the grass installment coming for her!
Keeping her company are four dresses from www.yoox.com in a similar summery style.

Foley time!
Eddie Murphy has come aboard for yet another sequel in the Beverly Hills Cop-series, this time he will play Axel Foley for the fourth time.
In honor of the triology which may have dictated much of 80's fashion, (I mean at least the college jacket...) - here's some 80ish sunglasses - put them on and lean leasurely against any given pole and you will be insta-cool. Promise. Or maybe just insta-Foley.
All these little darlings can be found just a click away, at www.yoox.com

Karma Car
Listening to the new Booka Shade album makes me think about futurism of the past. Their song Duke, is named after one of the characters in 80's epos "Escape from New York" and the whole album has an air of soundtrack about it, I'm thinking science fiction, the future today, the future yesterday, Blade Runner, Depeche Mode and metallic.
No other colour(is it a colour really?) or fabric(is it a fabric really?) is more associated with the future than metallic, but I would also like to highlight it's ability to feel fresh, summery and young and clean.
Besides - what better of a clash than to take an older shape, of say a dress, and make it in metallic? We like clashes.

Gender Blender
The masculine, simple jacket is a beautiful contrast to a dress or a skirt.
Angelina Jolie, during this weeks film festival in cannes, in black dress and black jacket. Simplicity.

Classy Animal
This pic of Lindsay Lohan will be todays inspiration, for a superfeminine, classic, Dolce Vita look, although not a carbon copy of ms Lohan's a bit too Donatella-esque appearance.

Graphic Panda
Angelina Jolie was promoting "Kung Fu Panda", her movie with Jack Black, at this years Cannes film festival.
Very much so pregnant, the radiant star wore a sweet white dress with high neck and a single maxi-print in black and red.
Very unusual dress for a Hollywood star, but oh so stylish!
Above paired with a runway shot from Behnaz Sarafpour's spring 08 show.
The single reclusive print, particularly at the top or bottom of a garment is riding strong.

Colour Flow
Beth Ditto of The Gossip performed with her band at the opening of Alexander McQueens brand new store in L.A. recently.
She wore McQueen( what else..), a rainbow-coloured dream in thin, see-through silk.
Maxi-dresses are coming big (no pun intended.) for summer, and hopefully more people will have the guts to try one on.

90210 fab
The upcoming spin-off series of 90s classic 90210 is now presented with the promo pic above. Not having a clue about the cast or the plot, at least two things struck me as absolutely amazing.
One is the fact that the stunning color coral has taken a step in the wardrobe of every guy, just look at the shirt on the kid on far left.
A similar shirt, but in linen for summer from Paul Smith, available at www.yoox.com
The other is the stylish shoes on the girl to the far right. Black, tight wide ribbon high-heeled sandals. Sandals almost like those, but with even more of an edge, i.e. a shiny silver heel, from Costume National, can also be found atwww.yoox.com

Duffy Summer
British soul-sensation Duffy is seen wearing a summery, almost seersuckerish sleeveless dress which fits her stage appearance while performing perfectly.
There's a lot of talk about pastels, even in this years fall collections, so why not kick-start with this dress from Freesoul, available at www.yoox.com
Bold in Gold
More big jewellery for the fall, this runway pic is from the Givenchy show.

Big & Bold
Jewellery for this fall is huge.
Coating the models walking the catwalks, it's graphic, bigger than big jewellery.
Definitions of jewellery versus clothing is blurred, one posing as the other, which also can be seen in the Gustav Klimt-inspired golden/ruby/jewelcolored garments many designers haven been showing for this fall.
The catwalk shot is from the fall08 Emilio Pucci show, and the jewellery are all from

The Classic: Black
Silver Screen
It's that time of the year again...time for Festival de Cannes [14-25 May].
The plans of a film festival in Cannes was first being made in 1938, but owing to WWII the first festival wasn't held until 1946.
What many people probably don't know is that the purpose of the international film fest originally was to compete with the film festival of Venice, which was said to be run by fascists and nazis.
Over the years, tons of glamour and glitz has characterized the festival, and it's guest have had undeniable star quality.
One thing that is interesting is to look at how gala/red carpet-fashion change over the decades, and everything from bikini to full gown has been seen on the starlets.
Above right is a picture of a young Anjelica Huston, with Jack Nicholson at the festival of -69. Her one-shoulder grecian sheet dress is recurrent even in todays fashion, to the left in the shape of a draped, short, one-shoulder dress from Elie Saab's ready-to-wear collection for spring08.
Classic, radiant and wearable.

Familiar yet fresh
By now, nobody could have missed that the biggest inspiration for this spring/summer is the 70s.
Although moulded in a fresh new shape, there's still that familiarity of the high-rise waists, straight long hair, wide-legged trousers and big glamorous sunglasses.
Salvatore Ferragamo's (left) interpretation of the 70s is a smooth, classic cool woman with a globetrotter-worthy style. The outfit is still a bit of a clash between ages since it brings along the 3/4-length arms of a short cropped jacket, typical for the 60's.
There's a distinct feel of masculinity meets femininity aswell.
All in all - timeless and effortlessly cool.
On the right is a picture of Will Ferrell's character Jackie Moon, from recent movie release Semi-Pro. Hopefully this outfit will stay in the fictional world of sports comedy and never ever again make it's way out in public.
He looks kinda funky though.

More Golden Power!
Golden Beige Beauty
The upcoming Sex & The City movie is besides the biggest hype of the year proving to be an excellent source of inspiration.
Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) has been seen wearing this soft yet stylish dress during the publicity shoot.
This kind of taupeish/golden beige apparently works for most skintones, as opposed to the paler beige with more grey nuancés which can prove hard to wear for the more pale part of the population.
The dresses above can all be found at www.yoox.com and are clockwise from top left:
Albino - Alberta Ferretti - Viktor & Rolf - Manoush
